Episode 154 – Michael Modzelewski – Alaskan Naturalist / audio

Alaskan Naturalist

Michael Modzelewski (@mikemodzelewski on twitter) joins host Craig Price to discuss being an Alaskan Naturalist for Princess Cruises. Anyone who knows Craig knows how much he loved cruising the Inner Passage of Alaska with his wife back in 2013. Now he gets to talk photography, Alaskan guides, bears and more with a true expert on the Alaskan Wilds. Mike spent 18 months alone in the wilds of Alaska as chronicled in his book Inside Passage: Living with Killer Whales, Bald Eagles, and Kwakiutl Indians. This gave him a unique perspective on the nature of the Northwest and now he gets to live out a dream job: being the ship’s Naturalist for Princess Cruises. He not only shares his animal expertise about bears and such, he also talks about hiking glaciers and exploring ice caves. It’s a photographers dream.

Michael also talk about his latest e-book Wild Life which tells of his life after Cosmopolitan Magazine named him “Bachelor of the Month”. It’s the story of a kid let loose in a candy shop. Only the kid is an adult and the candy is single women!
